Do not take the tool awayLeave the tool in reach
A communication board or device is not a reward. If it is the way someone says they need the toilet, or says no, it has to stay available.A board or device is not a prize. If someone uses it to say no, or to ask for the toilet, it stays available.
Part 3
What this course will not do
It will not choose a device for a person and it will not measure progress. A speech and language therapist who knows the person does that work.This course will not pick a device for someone. A therapist who knows the person does that.
